ROADMap today announced that it will be presenting two papers at the up-coming OFC 2018 conference at the San Diego Convention Centre, San Diego, USA.
The talk entitled “Crosstalk Spectrum Optimisation for Stacked Wavelength Selective Switches Based on 2D Beam Steering” will take place at 8:45AM Thursday March 15th 2018 in the Optical Switching I session in Room 9. The talk will showcase the latest performance of ROADMap’s stacked wavelength selective switching (WSS) platform based on 2D beam steering. The results of our work show that our stacked WSS architecture works very well and gives a good performance. We show that the worst-case crosstalk is suppressed to <-30 dB by our novel holographic techniques.
The second paper entitled “Impact of WSS Filtering Penalty on the Capacity of Elastic WDM Ring Optical Networks” will be presented between 10:30AM and 12:30AM Thursday March 15th 2018 in the Joint Poster Session II in Exhibit Hall B. This work successfully builds on our on-going collaboration with BT, which highlights the requirement on the WSS passband performance for the metro and datacentre WDM ring networks, respectively.
Both papers will be presented by Dr Haining Yang, Principal Engineer at ROADMap Systems Ltd.
Our engineering team will also be present during the conference.
